✨ Coach Spotlight: Ksenia

Ksenia is a Certified Professional Co-active® Coach (CPCC), CTI Co-Active Leadership Program graduate, and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation with 1500+ recorded coaching hours based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

What motivated you to become a coach?

My life experience and my passion for humanity, adult growth and development led me to becoming a coach.  I hired a coach myself 8 years ago when I felt stuck in my life and in my career and started my own journey to personal growth and self awareness on a different level. Based in Hong Kong at the time I took my first coaching course with CTI (The Coach Training Institute) and I was hooked. Back then I didn’t think that I would become a professional coach but I let my natural curiosity to lead the way. 

What do you typically talk about with a prospective client during a free discovery session?

The discovery session is really about the chemistry. Are we a good match to work together?  Coaching relationship is a partnership and as with any relationship it’s important to have a good match. I want to hear your story and dreams, and get insight into how we may work best together.

Do you ever turn down prospective clients? If so, why?

Only if I don’t have capacity for another client. In this case I will recommend a few great coaches in my network. 

Tell us about one of your most impactful coaching client engagements on CoffeeChat.

I love working with people with different cultural and professional backgrounds, and those who courageously go for their wildest dreams. In my most impactful CoffeeChat engagements I witnessed my clients grow and evolve expanding and deepening their capacity to see, understand, empathise, and respond in a diversity of complex situations. And as they grow and evolve in this way, their experience of self, others, and the world shifts, leading to new ways of doing and being, that in turn lead to other changes that we cannot always foresee.

What has surprised you about working with clients across several different countries?

Born in Russia I have been living and working abroad most of my life so it’s hard to say what surprises me about working with clients from different countries. It is my normal. Currently based in South Africa I work with clients across the globe. After all we are all human beings longing for fulfilment, connection and happiness.
